Rememberance Day Services

There are two Remembrance Day services for people to attend in Regina Friday morning.

An outdoor service will be held at Victoria Park. We are asked to meet at the Masonic Temple at 10:15 a.m. and we will then line up in front of the Legion Hall.

The parade for the cenotaph will start at 10:15 at the legion.

The parade will end with a memorial and wreath laying at the Cenotaph in Victoria Park at 10:45 a.m.

The Brandt Centre is holding its traditional service starting at 10 a.m. but organizers ask those attending to be in their seats by 9:55 a.m.

Special Event planned for September 9th Business Meeting

The September 9th business meeting is currently being planned to take place in DDGM Wayne Flaten’s barn (just south of Regina on Hwy 6) starting at 7:30pm. There will be a chicken dinner prior to the event starting at 6:00pm. The normal price for this meal is $15, but thanks to the generosity of the Junior Warden, King Hiram members are only being asked to contribute $5. If you would like to attend the pre-meeting dinner, please email the Junior Warden at djpascoe@myaccess.ca or call him at 306-790-7015 by Friday, September 5th so that numbers can be submitted to DDGM Flaten. Dress for the event is casual (jeans).

If any member wishes to attend but needs a ride, please also contact the Junior Warden and he will work to make the necessary arrangements.

Biography Series – Dr. David Barns

Dr. David Barns was a well known dentist in Regina. He was born near Kansas City, Missouri, United States on August 1887. Dr. David Barns was the second of the three children of William and Florence, all of whom are boys. The oldest son, Elmer, operated a power plant at Odessa, Missouri; the youngest son, Victor E., was also a dentist practicing at Assiniboia, Saskatchewan. Continue reading

At the Annual Communications held in Saskatoon on Saturday June 22nd, 2013, Jack Colenutt of Regina was installed the Grand Master of the Grand Lodge of Saskatchewan AF & AM.

During his one year term, Jack, who emulates the Masonic principles of Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth, will lead  nearly 3000 Freemasons of Saskatchewan. Continue reading
